Valdemar Virtanen is a 31-year-old lighting designer from Finland. He is working on the visual side of the stage with light, dark and the frame.

Light design is his passion, and he has worked for the past 15 years as a freelancer on many different projects from film to theatre and festivals. Valdemar works as a light designer, rigger, and as a light/pyro technician.

When he is not working, he enjoys rock climbing, exploring nature and creating music.
